This Christmas I was shopping for gifts at Central Market and came across Lindt bar chocolates. They had several intersting-sounding flavors, such as orange, pear and pepper. And they had one called "White Coconut." Well, that sounded interesting, so I threw it into the basket. I gave the bars to Susan at the office, and she was kind enough to let me have a square to tast.

Wow. Really different. No chocolate taste, but a "white chocolate" flavor with an intense overlay of coconut. The coconut is finely ground. You sort of can feel it in the mouth, but not really. What you can feel in the mouth is a rich texture with a blast of coconut. Hard to describe, but if you like coconut, I bet you will like this bar. Very luxurious. And, as a bonus if you give it out as a gift, not that many people have tried it.

I have since noticed the Lindt brand at other stores, including Target. It runs between $2.50 and $3.00 for a 3.5 ounce bar. A bargain. Give it a try.
