Quick and Easy Harry & David Party Dip

We attended a Holiday party this December and the hostess had prepared a dip that was the hit of the party. It was all gone very quickly--but not before I got her to reveal the recipe. The dip was very simple, a pretty salmon color, and extremely tasty. Don't let the simplicity fool you. This can be made almost instantly, and it will be gone almost as quickly. The only real preparation is ordering the Harry & David "Pepper & Onion Relish." We got a jar from my sister, and I hear they sell it at the Harry & David outlet store on Highway 290. I believe it is worth the trip to the outlet mall just for this recipe. And I don't especially like outlet malls!

one 8 ounce container if whipped cream cheese
4 ounces of Harry & David Pepper & Onion Relish

Take a spatula and dip the whipped cream cheese into a bowl. Add four ounces of the Harry & David Pepper & Onion Relish and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate until served. That's it.

There are two keys to this dip. First, use "whipped" cream cheese. That makes it easy to mix the relish into the cream cheese. Second, use Harry & David Pepper & Onion Relish. That adds both the flavor and the color. Don't be put off by how simple this is. Your guests will be gaga over this dip. You should be able to make this dip three times from a single jar of the Harry & David relish. Get in the car and get to the Outlet Mall!
